A Philanthropic Project developed by The Nudelman Initiative and Nouvelle School
Education AI in Action
Introducing the initiative

Education AI in Action - The Nudelman Initiative is a philanthropic project designed to create a new educational model for early childhood education in Brazil. The goal is to develop an innovative and scalable AI-enhanced teaching and learning approach to enable children to reach their full potential.

Project Overview

Education AI in Action was created by Andre Nudelman, Entrepreneur in Residence at Stanford University Graduate School of Education. The project initially focuses on improving early childhood education in Passo de Camaragibe, Alagoas State, Brazil.

Passo de Camaragibe

Passo de Camaragibe is a small city with approximately 13,000 inhabitants in Brazil's Northeast region. Although the city is known for its natural beauty and coastal location, it also, unfortunately, encounters poor socioeconomic conditions, including high poverty and illiteracy rates. The public school system in Passo de Camaragibe faces significant challenges, including low literacy levels and limited resources. Education AI in Action- The Nudelman Initiative aims to address these challenges and create a new model for education powered by artificial intelligence that can be replicated in other cities in Brazil.

Project Details

The Education AI in Action - The Nudelman Initiative starts in 2023 with an initial pilot program in Passo de Camaragibe, focused on early childhood education. The pilot program will provide resources, training, and support to local schools and educators to improve the city's education quality. The program initially focuses on children aged 3 to 5 years old and will gradually expand to include additional grades, one per year. Researchers and local practitioners collaborate to address inequalities and create a new model for education that can be replicated. The project explores how Artificial Intelligence can help improve day-by-day practices and enhance student learning.
The project aims to develop a new AI-enhanced educational model that considers the local social and cultural structures and specificities of the Passo de Camaragibe community. This includes a strong emphasis on play-based and experiential learning and innovative teaching methods that engage children and promote their active participation in the learning process.

Partnerships

Education AI in Action - The Nudelman Initiative seeks partnerships with leading educational institutions and philanthropic organizations to help support the project's goals and expand its impact. Together, we can create a new educational model that will help shape the future of early childhood education in Brazil.

Conclusion

Education AI in Action is a unique opportunity to create lasting change in early childhood education in Brazil and better understand how AI can contribute to improving education. By developing an innovative and scalable approach to education, we can help children in Passo de Camaragibe and other cities reach their full potential and build a better future for themselves and their communities. We invite you to join us on this journey and be a part of this important initiative.
